Biography
Damien Capolongo is a self-taught guitarist from Grenoble. He began playing guitar at the age of 17. His passion for metal music led him to join the Grenoble heavy metal band LONEWOLF in 2002. He went on to record 4 albums with the band: ‘Unholy Paradise’ (2003), ‘Made In Hell’ (2008), ‘The Dark Crusade’ (2009) and ‘Division Hadès’ (2020).
At the same time, Damien has always had a keen interest in instrumental guitar, with influences including Vai, Satriani, Rondat, MacAlpine and Vinnie Moore. In June 2019 he released his 1st solo album entitled ‘Burning The Past’ (Self-produced) in the instrumental style, mixing melody & technique. In February 2024 his 2nd solo album ‘Crumbling World’ (Self-produced) was released, still in the instrumental style, with a clearly recognisable approach to his playing,
On the track ‘The Road Back’ he invited the legendary French guitarist Patrick RONDAT.
