Guitarist, arranger, bassist, but also oud, ukulele, bouzouki, saz and other ethnic instruments player, Michel-Yves Kochmann has played with numerous French artists (and some foreign artists). Can be mentioned, Alain Souchon, Laurent Voulzy, Jane Birkin, Elsa, Julien Clerc, Nolwenn Leroy.

He was musician on several TV shows like La Nouvelle Star, Les Enfoirés, Tapis Rouge, The Voice, The Voice Kids, les Victoires de la Musique (where he had the chance to play with Stevie Wonder!).

He has been Music Director of some shows (Alain Souchon, Jane Birkin, Elsa).

Michel-Yves Kochmann released instrumental albums (“Souchon du bout des doigts”, “Only Guitars”), developps experimental projects like « CYZMIC » produced in collaboration with Christophe Deschamps, Zizou Sadki, Cyril Barbessol and Yves Jaget. All tracks have been recorded live during composing.

He took part in movies soundtracks for the composers Gabriel Yared, Klaus Badelt, Nicolas Errera, Jacques Davidovici, Christophe LaPinta; He also composed himself advertising movies’ music (Palladium, Chrysler …).

For other artists, he made several albums: “Bastille Blues” of Jean-Jacques Milteau, “Matskathérapie” of MaTskat, “Rêvalité” of Loïc.
