Thomas Braganti, bassist and composer, has been surrounded by music since early childhood. Born in 1990 in Nice to a drummer-father, he spent much of his youth at concerts and rehearsals, where he inherited his father’s passion for music. When he was 8 years old he began playing the drums, but was quickly and naturally drawn to the bass. After only three years he decided to stop lessons to develop his talent and passion for the bass on his own. At 17 years old he joined his first professional project, as the bassist for Jules, the semi-finaliste of Nouvelle Star 2006. From there his career took off as he started performing with renowned musicians such as Micheal Désir, Jean-Max Mery, and Spleen.

At 20 years old he left his small village in the south of France to join the international music scene in Paris.  In 2011 he co-founded the funk-rock group, Third Clouds, and joined several other projects with whom he performed around the capital and recorded several EP’s. During this period he collaborated with Pascal Obispo to promote his album Millésime, performing on several radio and TV shows (30 and de France Bleu, La Chanson de l’Année, Hebdo Music Mag…). He also accompanied Marie Cherrier on the tour for her album “Billie,” as well as the group Maltosh for their 2014 summer tour.

Thomas is currently composing and performing for several diverse projects in Paris. Notably, he is a member of the rock band Asylum 4, with whom he has just finished recording an album at the celebrated Studio Marcadet. He has also been selected as the official remplacement bassist for the prestigious orchestra, Les Cigales. He also composes music for short films, podcasts, and plays, such as Adopte un Jules, Jango le Clown, Prémonition, and Abduction. Additionally, he is currently playing for bands in a diverse range of genres, including Invigo (pop), Les Abranis (rock blues Kabyle), Patrick Zingilé (Fulbright-funded performances mixing danse, hip hop, and jazz), Lorenz (pop rock)...

Thomas is well-known around the numerous Parisian jam-sessions, and collaborates with many of the capital’s musicians on a wide-variety of projects (François Faure, Jean-Louis Mary, Youva Sid, Sacha Lounis, Abraham Cohen, Alex Slioussarenko, Greg « Gribouille » Mortier, Belaïd Branis, Julien Tekeyan, Jérôme Cornelis, Quentin Duchène, Gabriel Bridgewater, Youss…).
