Biography
Lucianne Wallace started playing music as a child in a small community association. After ten years very rich in learning and marked by many beautiful experiences of concerts in France and abroad, it is in high school that she chooses to continue in the musical way by creating her own rock band.
"Hurricane Riders" will give about sixty concerts between 2008 and 2013 and will release two Eps. One of the songs composed and written by Lucianne - "Like a Hurricane" - was chosen by the tennis brand Babolat to illustrate an advert featuring Rafael Nadal and Joe Wilfried Tsonga in 2012.
Following her meeting with "Gabi" in 2012, she founded the rock band The Foxy Ladies in 2013. The band joins the professional support system of the SMAC Les Abattoirs for two years.
At the same time, she composed the soundtrack for a short film entitled Le Dernier Voyage (2014) and joined Toxic Frogs, a Celtic rock band composed only of professional female musicians.
Both bands have been performing regularly throughout the country and abroad since 2016. In the meantime, Lucianne chose to devote herself fully to music by becoming a guitar teacher. She now teaches many students in private lessons and also online.
The Foxy Ladies released their first ep "Ignition" in 2015. The reception is encouraging. The band continued to develop and released the album Backbone in 2017. The reviews are good and the quartet is programmed on great stages like Les Rencontres Brel (now Le Grand Son), the Plan'R "Fest, or Musilac Mont Blanc.
In terms of artists, they have shared the stage with bands such as Trust, Nashville Pussy, Laura Cox, Black Bomb A, Tagada Jones, UK Subs, Punish Yourself and Mass Hysteria.
At the beginning of 2022, following a competition organised by the Printemps de Pérouges, The Foxy Ladies were chosen to open for the mythical band Kiss.
They also opened for the "Gros 4" (Ultra Vomit, Tagada Jones and Mass Hysteria) at the Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon, replacing No One Is Innocent.
The second album was recorded at Vamacara Studio and released in October 2022.
With Toxic Frogs, a first ep entitled "Kill the Devil" was released in 2015. This one meets the enthusiasm of the foreign specialized press in particular.
A 2nd ep, "The Mermaid Song", was released in 2017 and was a great success with the public. Numerous concerts followed in France and abroad such as Les Filets Bleus in Concarneau, the off of the Festival Interceltique de Lorient for several editions, the Roches Celtiques, the Festival du 6ème Continent or the Festival International Celtic Dumeltica (Italy).
Finally, the last record to date, "My Lucky Own" will be released in March 2021. On this album, Lucianne played the Irish banjo to give the project an even more Irish rock feel. The album also features a special guest, the singer of the Mahones, who can be heard on the track "Thank you Humanity"
